Grow Jersey site, Sion

We are delighted to invite Earsay members to a new event, to discover Grow Jersey community garden on Saturday 10th June, 2-4pm. Location is Grow Jersey, in Surville cemetery, Sion.

This is for all members, young and old – all ages are welcome, feel free to bring along a friend too. It’s a fun outdoor event discovering gardening and everything this fantastic community project can offer. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, and the event will go ahead whatever the weather – let’s hope it’s sunny!

We are planning to build a bug hotel and the children can try and collect a variety of things before the day please (sticks, hay, shells, pine cones, leaves etc) and Grow Jersey will get some ready too and we’ll all create a bug hotel together.  There will also be other tasks, mulching the fruit and nut trees, watering, weeding, picking of vegetables etc – everything to help the community garden.

This will be a lovely chance to get outside and also work together, with your families and with other Earsay members of all ages.

Please RSVP to Simina Caraman, email is on your invite.

Please see these details for where Grow’s location is, or see their facebook page or google for details. Please arrive, bringing any items for the bug hotel, just before 2pm.

You walk into the entrance of the cemetery, then follow the road up to the back hedge, where you will see our gate. We’re north of Surville cemetery on Ruette Pinel, St Helier. We’re on a great bus, cycle and walking route. There is also limited parking outside Surville cemetery.
